Yes, all YOGH® soaps are suitable for washing the face as they are gentle, superfatted and richin moisturising glycerine. The only soap that we
don’t recommend you use on your face is YOGHSOAP® Balance Cedarwood because it is exfoliating and has a grainy texture.

YOGHSOAP® soaps, completely natural and gently cleansing, are suitable for babies and children between 0-3 years old and above. YOGHSOAP® Baby Calendula fragrance-free soap is specially formulated for delicate, sensitive baby skin with soothing calendula oil, colloidal oatmeal with anti-inflammatory properties, and fresh yoghurt. Always do a test to check for possible skin reactions.

We make YOGHSOAP with pure plant oils and butters using the cold process method at low temperatures without external heating to preserve their benefits. Cold-process soap-making is a traditional method where plant oils are mixed with an alkali base. The result of this reaction is soap and glycerine, a natural derivative in the soap with proven moisturising properties.

The alkali base is depleted during the saponification of the oils and does not appear in the final product; glycerin is not mechanically added to the soap, as it derives naturally from the reaction between the oils and the alkaline base. We formulate the soaps so that part of the plant oils don't saponify to achieve "superfatting" of about 6%. We add fresh, full-fat yoghurt, which enriches the soap with its good fats and enhances its moisturising power.

Cold-process soap-making is a slow process. It requires at least 4 weeks of "curing" the soap, so that saponification fully takes its course and the soap dries, hardens and becomes mild and gentlefor the skin. The result is a soap that gently cleanses and noticeably moisturises the skin. It is suitable even for the most sensitive skin, as it never dries out ordisrupts its natural barrier.

YOGHSOAP®, made with the cold process method, preserve to the greatest extent the valuable properties of the plant and essential oils they contain, making them more delicate and moisturising for the skin. The high glycerine content – 8% in YOGHSOAP® soaps – ensures noticeably moisturised skin after washing. Our soaps do not contain aggressive chemicals or preservatives, hardeners, chelators,
foaming agents, artificial fragrances, dyes, iron oxides or any synthetic components. This makes them suitable for most skin types, including sensitive ones.

YOGHSOAP® soaps are scented only with pure, undiluted, 100% natural essential oils in combinations that have a positive impact on the senses and mood during bathing.

Soap typically has an alkaline pH value ranging from 8 to 10, while human skin maintains a slightly acidic pH between 4.5 and 5.5, known as the “acid mantle”.
This acidic layer helps protect the skin from harmful environmental elements like bacteria. Аn alkaline substance like soap is the most effective way to clean the skin as soap attracts the sebum, dirt and germs from the skin, which are then flushed away with
water. After soap is rinsed off, the skin naturally restores its pH level to its normal state. This re-balancing process usually takes around 2-3 hours if
no additional moisturisers are used. Moisturising butter expedites the restoration of the skin's acid mantle.

Due to its high content of natural glycerin, YOGHSOAP® soap may soften if not used and stored properly. It is essential for the sThe soap needs to dryitsdurability, do not soak it or leave submerged in water. After use, store it in a dry place, away from running water. You can use the soap-saver pouch, whose porous surface allows air to circulate around the soap, or our specially designed soap dishes for this purpose.

The difference is huge: these are fundamentally different products. Industrial soaps are fast-produced items where quantity trumps quality. Today, they
are mostly made with cheap, processed palm oil and contain aggressive chemicals and synthetic additives, potentially harmful to the skin. Glycerin - the natural byproduct in natural soap - is removed in commercial variants, drastically reducing their moisturising properties. It is purified and sold separately to the cosmetic industry, which uses it in creams and lotions. That's why commercial soaps are brittle, hard and drying to the skin: they simply lack sufficient glycerin.

Traditional, handmade soaps are made from pure, unprocessed plant oils, and the precious glycerin remains in the soap. At YOGHSOAP, we add extra oil and reduce the amount of the alkali base to ensure that the soap contains an excess of fatty molecules that the skin directly absorbs. This creates the so-called "superfatted" soap, which is more moisturising for the skin and lowers the soap's pH. Handmade soaps usually cure for 4-8 weeks, allowing the
chemical transformation from oils and alkali base into glycerine-rich, superfatted soap to fully complete.

True shampoo, not soap: YOGHHAIR®'s solid
shampoos are genuine shampoo, not disguised soap bars. They are designed to gently cleanse, nurture and care for the hair, rather than cause potential harm. Unlike liquid shampoos that contain up to 80% water, our solid shampoos are concentrated formulas of plant-based surfactants, botanical extracts, conditioning agents, emollients and essential oils, offering a purer, more effective washing experience.

Protecting the hair cuticles: YOGHHAIR® shampoo
formulations are naturally pH balanced, ensuring that the hair cuticle remains smooth and intact, preventing the overlapping cuticle cells from rising and
hair becoming frizzy or tangled. It is a fact that a lower pH of shampoos results in less frizz and generates less negative static electricity on the fibre
surface. Hair is silkier and more manageable.

No harmful residues: Say goodbye to the dullness and tangling caused by alkaline residues. Our solid shampoos leave your hair free from harmful deposits, ensuring it remains vibrant and healthy-looking.

Even though the label may say "shampoo", that doesn't necessarily make it one. In many cases, it's likely to be a disguised soap bar. Both are solid and it’s easy to be misled because the only similarity between the two is the solid format.

Price: Don't be fooled by labels that claim
"shampoo" if the price seems too good to be true. Soap uses cheaper ingredients than professionally formulated shampoo bars which require costly surfactants and conditioning agents specifically developed for use on the hair and scalp. The
plant-based, naturally-derived gentle ones are even more expensive.

Ingredients: Check the ingredients on the label. If it
lists oils or names like "Sodium Palmate", "Sodium Olivate" and "Sodium Cocoate," you’re holding bar soap. These are the terms for Palm oil, Olive oil and Coconut oil after saponification, which turns oils
into soap.

Yes, using a conditioner is necessary and highly recommended - you will notice the positive results immediately upon first use. The purpose of the conditioner is to make combing the hair easier after washing and to restore the damaged cuticle. It is especially necessary for people with brittle hair. The conditioner covers the hair with a hydro-lipid protective layer, penetrating areas where the hair surface is damaged and filling them. The YOGHHAIR® conditioner contains cocoa butter and tea tree essential oil, which provide the hair and scalp with the necessary nutrients.

YOGHHAIR® shampoos help retain the colour of dyed hair. If hair becomes very alkaline and porous, the cuticle cannot retain the colour as it fails to hold the new pigments and the colour will rinse out prematurely. By their non-alkaline nature, our shampoos help retain colour pigments by maintaining the integrity of the hair cuticle, preventing premature colour washout.

Wet your hair and slide the solid shampoo several times along the scalp and down the length of your hair without rubbing. Set the shampoo aside and massage your scalp with your fingers. You will activate a rich, dense foam. Rinse and repeat
if desired. Store your shampoo in a dry place to dry out between uses, away from splashes and running water.

If you've experienced adverse reactions from a
supposed solid shampoo, you likely used a misleadingly labelled soap or a poorly formulated solid shampoo. The problem is that soap is alkaline and has a high pH level of 8 to 11.

Our hair and scalp require a pH level of 5 to 6. Alkaline products like soap are not suitable for
washing the hair as they increase its electrical charge, leading to static electricity, frizz and breakage. They are too harsh and remove the lipid layer that protects the hair cuticle, making our hair less responsive to conditioners.

When you wash your hair with products outside the appropriate pH range, the cuticle scales 'open' instead of lying flat, and some even flake off. This
leads to hair abrasion, mechanical damage, and difficultcombing. Once damaged, hair is hard to restore even with intensive conditioners. Washing hair with soap also leads to insoluble deposits on the hair, which are difficult to rinse off and leave the hair dull, stiff and lifeless.

The pH level of YOGHHAIR® shampoos varies between 5.0 and 5.5 as a result of natural pH balancing. It is a fact that shampoos with a lower pH lead to less frizz and generate less negative static electricity on the hair surface. As a result, the hair becomes smoother and easier to manage.

Synthetic silicones are widely used in non-natural cosmetics under names like methicone, dimethicone, cyclomethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, and their many derivatives, these synthetic oils allow the adjustment of the touch and
texture of products to meet marketing needs while increasing the volume of cosmetics at a lower cost. Their main disadvantage, in addition to being
manufactured in an environmentally unfriendly manner, is that they are poorly biodegradable and can potentially accumulate in the environment. Omnipresent in non-natural hair care products and shampoos, silicones coat the hair, provide temporary repair, add shine, and make styling easier... but in the long term, they can suffocate the hair, weigh it down, or even make it "dependent" on silicones since as soon as one stops using these products, the hair can
become very dry and coarse, which leads to a resumption of using silicon-based products. On the contrary, YOGHHAIR® contains natural silicone alternatives that help to coat, smooth, and add shine to the hair without accumulating on the hair or suffocating it.

Build-up: Silicones can build up on the hair over
time, leading to a heavy, greasy feel. This can be especially problematic for people with fine or thin hair, as it weighs the hair down, making it look limp and lifeless.

Difficult to remove because some silicones are not
water-soluble, meaning they can be difficult to wash out without using strong, harsh shampoos. This can lead to a cycle of damage where the hair needs more
conditioning due to the harsh shampoos used to remove the silicones.

Moisture blocking: Silicones form a barrier on the
hair shaft which can be effective for smoothing and adding shine. However, this barrier can also prevent moisture from penetrating the hair shaft, leading to

appear healthier by adding shine and reducing frizz, they may merely be masking underlying damage rather than repairing it, leading to more hair damage in the long term.

The extra cold method of making body butter is a meticulous process that preserves the natural qualities and properties of the plant and essential oils we use. In this method, the ingredients are carefully mixed at a very low temperature.

This approach ensures that the heat-sensitive nutrients like vitamins and antioxidants, remain intact and do not degrade. By avoiding the use of high
heat, the extra cold method keeps the natural structure of the butters and oils unchanged, which means their nourishing and moisturising properties are fully preserved. The result is a body butter that is not only richer in nutrients but also more effective in delivering these benefits to the skin.

Our solid body oils are made exclusively with plant and essential oils in a self-preserving formula with a shelf life of one year. However, for optimal freshness, we recommend using it within 6 months after opening.
